Mr Green

Biographical

Mr Green, Edgar Linton's lawyer, is sent for as Edgar is very sick in his bed and he wishes to amend his will to prevent Heathcliff from inheriting Thrushcross Grange. Mr Green delays his arrival, having sold himself out to Heathcliff, and Edgar dies that day before the will can be changed. Mr Green is then employed by Heathcliff. When he arrives at the Grange, he dismisses all of the servants on Heathcliff's orders, except for Nelly.
