Biographical

A Daudzai Afghan, he was one of the best and bravest generals of the emperor Aurangzeb, and held the rank of 5,000
. He was granted the jagir of Kalpi that had been confiscated from his brother, Bahadur Khan Ruhella. According to Niccolo Manucci, he was poisoned by his son-in-law, Azil Khan, on the orders of Prince Shah Alam (son of Aurangzeb).

Place of death: the Deccan
