And he began his reign on the 22nd day of April, in the year 1509, and was crowned at Westminster on the feast of the nativity of Saint John the Baptist. In the year 1535, he married Lady Jane Seymour, from whom in the year 1537 he begot Prince Edward, who was born at Hampton Court on the eve of Saint Edward.
