| The jug, the pots, and the apples gain a striking sense of weight and presence, with small blocks of colour used to build each shape as though assembling something sturdy and enduring. Brisk strokes of greens, blues, reds, and yellows shape the fruit, the wall, and even the tablecloth, allowing the whole arrangement to emerge through overlapping touches that give the scene its lively sense of form. |
