Pécour (1653-1729)[E6R] Biographical Dancer, choreographer, and teacher.[E6R] Worked under the royal choreographer Pierre Beauchamp.[E6R] Possibly made his debut in Lully's Psyche, 1673,[U52] or in Lully’s Cadmus et Hermione, 1674.[E6R] Ballet-master and choreographer at the Paris Opéra, 1687.[E6R] He ceased performing in around 1703.[E6R] Credited with changing the 'S' figure of the Minuet to a 'Z'.[E6R] Place of birth and death: Paris[U52] |
