Jumentier (1749-1829)[E6L] Biographical French composer[E6L] Son of a winegrower.[E6L] Studied at the choir school at Chartres, 1756-67.[E6L] Maître de musique at Senlis Cathedral, 1767-68, and at Saint Quentin, 1776-93.[E6L] His sacred compositions were performed around France in the 1780s.[E6L] Left the church of Saint Quentin in 1793 after it was confiscated by the Revolutionaries, and he taught music privately.[E6L] Returned to his post at Saint Quentin after its reopening, 1802.[E6L] Married to Marie-Anna Maillard.
