First performed as Mamillius in The Winter's Tale at the Princess's
Theatre in London, 1856.[F76]
Left the stage after her first marriage in 1864, but returned in 1867
after her divorce, and was to achieve great success.[F76]
She achieved her greatest distinction in Shakespeare, and her greatest
role was as Olivia in The Vicar of Wakefield.[F76]
