Pérez Cervatos
(–<1306) Other names: Alfonso Petrez, Sirbatüš Biographical Alfonso Pérez Cervatos and Alfonso Pérez, the son of Pedro Domingo (known as ben Öarrãh), might have been the same individual. In 1259, this Alfonso Pérez is mentioned as the brother-in-law of Fernand Gudiel, who had once held the office of alguacil. Records show that as early as 1249, Alfonso Pérez was active in Toledo, working alongside Fernand Gudiel—who had not yet assumed his official title—when a group of local knights negotiated with the Order of Calatrava about the village of Polán. After 1259, Alfonso Pérez Cervatos no longer appears in Toledo’s historical documents, which suggests he may have later been known as Alfonso Pérez de Toledo, a knight of noble lineage who received lands during the redistribution in Seville. By 1306, his assets were divided amongst his heirs. Place of burial: Church of San Román, Toledo? Possibly the son of Pedro Domingo ben Garrah and an unknown woman , he was possibly married firstly to a sister of alguacil Fernand Gudiel, and secondly to a daughter of Gonzalo Meléndez y Coloma. He had issue (including Fernán Alfonso; Inés, married to Gonzalo Yáñez; Esteban Alfonso Cervatos, dean of the Cathedral of Toledo, †1312; Teresa Alfons, married to Esteban Femández Gudiel, †1306, with issue). |
