Jiménez
Biographical Suero succeeded to the custody of the Castle of Luna after his father's death. He fought for Alfonso VII against Count Gonzalo Peláez of Asturias when he rose against the king and laid siege to the Castle of Buanga in 1132. Despite the claims of various modern sources, he had no connection to the municipality of Caso. He was also never Chancellor of Astorga, as that position was held by Pedro Bernaldo Ximénez, with whom Suero has been confused, and no charter has been found to prove otherwise.
