Gonzalo inherited both the lordship of Quirós and the entail established by his father after his brother's death. He served the Catholic Monarchs and, because of his extensive domains, was nicknamed ‘the Little King of Asturias’.

Place of burial: Former Monastery of San Francisco

Son of Juan Bernaldo de Quirós and Beatriz Cabeza de Vaca, he married Emilia González de Ron, Señora de lbias (†1521), with issue:
