Giovanni
Antonio Sclafani
Biographical
Giovanni has been considered the alternative father of Matteo Sclafani
(†1354)
based
on an extract provided by the historian Filadelfo Mugnos of the supposed
will of Matteo Termine,
signore
di Gagliano
(†1315)
which names Giovanni Antonio as his brother-in-law
and the father of Matteo Sclafani. Other sources incorrectly state
that Giovanni Antonio married a daughter of Pietro Luca Pellegrino,
heiress of the lordship of Adernò, and that they were the parents
of Matteo Sclafani, but in fact Matteo obtained the lordship through
his second wife, Agata Pellegrino.
Son of Giovanni Sclafani, he married Antonina Termine, and had possible
issue:
• Matteo (according to other sources, see)
• Agata Sclafani (mother not specified), married to Matteo Termine
(his first wife)
