Hector Varlet

Biographical

Said to be an attorney from Amiens, Hector and his wife were residing in the parish of Saint-Germain l'Auxerrois, Paris, in 1634. Two years later, they were living in Montpellier for reasons unknown. The nature of the position he apparently held as captain of the castle of Nanteuil is unknown, nor is it known to which castle it referred. As he and his wife died when their children were young, they were placed under the care of a guardian.
