Biographical
Led the naval battle of Zonchio against the Ottomans, 1499, but failed
and was arrested on his return to Venice after serious accusations concerning
his conduct were made.[M3BF]
Sentenced to confinement on the island of Cherso, 1500, but he fled to
Rome.[M3BF]
Pardoned, 1509, and he returned to Venice.[M3BF]
