of the Royal Dublin Society 1966–68
Of Straffan House, Kildare, which he sold. He served in World War
II.
He took part in the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris in the Modern Pentathlon
for Great Britain.
Son of Bertram Barton and Lilian Carden, he married Joan Lecky in
1927, and had issue:
