Biographical

Son of Nathaniel Barton and Mary Scott, he married Clara Cutler in 1850, and had issue:
• Francis Savile, 1861–1938, Lieutenant of the Queen's Bays, Lieutenant of the Scots Guards, married 1889 (divorced 1904) to Mabel Sayers, and had issue:
           • Charles Thomas Hugh, *1889
           • Arthur William, 1892–1968, of Vancouver, married firstly 1927 (divorced 1938) to Jan Buckle, with no issue, and secondly in 1940 to Marjorie Turnbull, with issue:
                      • Barbara Norah Mabel, *1943, married 1967 (divorced 1974) to Gary Elliott
• Charles Scott, 1865–1943, married 1890 to Ellen Johnston
           • Violet Clara Isabella, *1891
           • Robert Francis Arthur, 1901–63, married 1931 to Geneviève Bonduelle, and had issue:
                      • Sylvie Geneviève Marcelle, *1949
           • Alice Charlotte, 1902–25, married 1923 to Yves Le Levreur, with issue
