Biographical
János (IV) was adopted by János (III) Nikolics de Rudna, who had no children,
and was made his heir. The adoption and transfer of the Rudna domain
was recognised by Emperor Franz I of Austria and approved in 1804.
Jovan Belcsics assumed the name, title of nobility and arms of Nikolics,
and renounced his former name and country. In 1825, he bought the
Macedonia (Timis) domain from the Joannovics family. His will is
dated 1828.
