Ortenzia Ianni

Biographical

She was a lady-in-waiting to Maria Mancini, wife of Prince Lorenzo Colonna, at the Palazzo Colonna in Rome from 1661. Her own husband conte Francesco Stella died in 1669. After Maria Mancini fled her husband Lorenzo in 1672, Ortenzia became his mistress and bore him two children. After Lorenzo's death, she was left a monthly pension which was the source of legal action initiated by her stepson.
