| Werner
(–814) Other names: Warner Biographical Royal envoy 813 In 796, Werner donated the monastery of Mindenbach and the rivers of Trualba and Sualba to Hornbach. Following the death of Emperor Karl I in 814, King Louis I drove him and his nephew Lambert from Aachen, where he was killed in the ensuing unrest. He is possibly the Warner who died before 834 and donated the monastery of Donzère together with his wife, Hildisnot. Son of Wido, he was possibly married to Hildisnot (†<834) |
