Amirejibi
The name is derived from the word amirejibi (from Arabic amir-e ajib meaning chamberlain) which was the court chamberlain in feudal Georgia.[K20] The family is an offshoot of the Palanvandid family. It received imperial recognition of the princely dignity of the Russian Empire in 1824 and 1850.[M97]
