Biographical
Encomendero of Ixmiquilpan
Along with his brother, González de Ávila was involved in
the conspiracy, led by the sons of Hernán Cortés, to overthrow
Spanish royal authority in New Spain over the new encomienda laws. He
was arrested in 1566, and after a trial, he was executed with his brother.

Place of burial: convent of San Agustín, Mexico City
A son of Gil González de Ávila and Leonor de Alvarado, he
married Leonor Bello (daughter of Juan Bello Troche and Gracia Iñiguez
de Valdocera), and had issue.
