Mozart in Prague

connection with Prague is deeply intertwined with the city's rich musical
history. One of the most significant events in his career occurred there,
when he premiered his opera Don Giovanni at the Estates Theatre
on the 29th of October 1787. The opera was an immediate success, and
the people of Prague embraced Mozart with enthusiasm. The vibrant cultural
atmosphere and the warm reception from the Prague audience left an indelible
mark on Mozart, who referred to Prague as the place where he experienced
the greatest triumph of his career.
