Principe de Viana 1423–61†

Designated heir to Navarre by the Cortes in 1421, his father attempted to change the order of succession in favour of his daughter Leonor. Carlos was imprisoned between 1453 and 1455, and again from 1460 to 1461. He continued to attempt to have his father recognised as King of Navarre until his death.
