Biographical

Obrenović was master, divisional general, and a commander of the Morava and Podrinje military district.  He took part in the First and Second Serbian Uprising.  He headed the Serbian delegation during the negotiations with the Turks in Constantinople in 1816.  After the 1842 rebellion, he left for Austria. He adopted the additional surname of his step-father, Obrenović.
