Biographical

Felipe studied in Ontario, Canada, between 1984 to 1985. In 1986, he was named heir to the Spanish throne. He was an officer in the the Spanish army, navy and air force, and was a certified helicopter pilot. He went on to study law in Madrid, and international relations in Washington, D.C. After the scandals that affected his family, and his father's subsequent abdication, he promised the Spanish people 'a new monarchy' when he was proclaimed king.
