Rafael de Toledo Golfín
(1766–1823 ) Biographical Alcalde mayor of Seville 1792–98 A veinticuatro of Seville 1792–98 Rafael studied law at the Universidad Literaria of Seville. He entered into a dispute with his father over control of the family's mayorazgo. Because of the state of his father's mental health, Rafael replaced him as alcalde and venticuatro in 1792. Due to poor management on the part of his father, the family's financial circumstances were in decline. To finance repairs to the family's various properties, Rafael sold the family's hereditary offices of alcalde and venticuatro in 1798.
