Gonzalo de Toledo
(1545–>1614) Other names: Gonzalo Álvarez de Toledo Biographical Alcalde Ordinario of Chillán Regidor of the Cabildo of Santiago 1593, 1601, 1609 Diputado of the Santiago hospital 1584 Sindic of the Augustinian nuns and of the convent of San Francisco Captain Gonzalo went to Chile in 1562 with his stepmother and half-siblings, arriving in 1563. He is said to have become rich through his commercial activities.
