Zogolli, Zogu

The original name of the family was Zogolli ('son of the bird'), and hailed from Zogaj, a region in Kosovo.[1] After the Ottoman invasion of the Kosovo region, the family settled in Mati. The Zogolli castle once stood near the village of Burgajet in the valley of Mati. The family lived for some time in Varosh Vike.[2]
