Poster for Les Trewally at the Alcazar d'été
Lithograph, by Affiches Charles Lévy, Paris, 1880
Bibliothèque nationale de France

Originally built as the Café Morel in 1841, the building located behind the Palais de l'Élysée was purchased by Arsène Goubert, who opened it in 1860 as the Alcazar d'été, a Parisian entertainment venue hosting various shows and performances. The Les Trewally were among its many performers. The venue closed in 1914 and now serves as the Pavillon Gabriel.
