Also called the pink cockatoo or Leadbeater’s cockatoo, this medium-sized Australian cockatoo lives mainly in arid and semi-arid inland Australia. It is one of the longest-lived parrots and can live up to 80 years in captivity. It is known for its distinctive colouring and large crest, which reveals three distinct colours at once — red, yellow, and white — when fully raised. |
