Florentine manufactory, 1980s–1990s

Brightly painted, wooden Pinocchio push figures with three being push puppets mounted on cylindrical bases, designed to collapse and reassemble with the press of a button beneath the base, and a larger one being an articulated puppet. With their pointed hats, elongated noses, and cheerful expressions, the puppets are inspired by the tale of the mischievous wooden boy who longs to become human, while also reflecting the tactile charm and craftsmanship of Florentine artisan tradition. Written in 1881 by Carlo Collodi, the story of Pinocchio remains popular, with these figures capturing the spirit of the puppet's adventures and his quest for moral redemption.
