Alto Magdalena, Colombia, from the San Agustín culture. The original
is a stone sculpture measuring 163 × 103 cm and likely represents a
great priest or leader, carved as a memorial and placed to accompany
his burial within a funerary mound built by the community, dating to
between AD 1 and 900. |
