The island, located in
Phang Nga Bay, is known for its dramatic limestone cliffs rising
vertically from emerald waters. At its centre stands the narrow
islet of Ko Ta Pu—popularly known as 'James Bond Island' because it
featured in the 1974 film The Man with the Golden Gun. The
striking shape of Ko Ta Pu, tapering sharply at its base, has long
intrigued geologists and inspired local legends about its formation.
