| Lyrics of a song, with an accompanying illustration, speaking in the voice of youthful impulsiveness and fleeting romance. It reflects a moment seized from the chaos of life, where love and joy are savoured as singular, precious instances. From a notebook containing a collection of songs with illustrations, compiled by soldier Léon Frédéric Boulin, who was born on 7 November 1889 in Giry, Nièvre. He underwent military training in 1909 while stationed at the Pittié barracks in the city of Nevers, Nièvre. He was killed in action on 25 September 1915 at Souain, Marne. |
