| Brassica oleracea (ornamental kale or cabbage) is a cultivated plant bred to produce dramatic rosettes of colour as temperatures fall, reaching its best appearance in cold weather rather than summer. Despite its lush, almost floral look, it belongs to the same species as everyday cabbages and kales, a reminder of how far selective gardening can transform a familiar plant. |
