Located on the Plaza de la Revolución in Havana, the building stands as a stark, modernist landmark serving as a primary symbol of the Cuban state's administrative and political authority. The large neon-lit steel outline of Guevara, accompanied by the slogan 'Hasta la Victoria Siempre', remains illuminated throughout the night to symbolise the revolutionary spirit and constant watchfulness. The structure acts as a key backdrop for the Plaza de la Revolución, where it has witnessed some of the longest public speeches in history.
