Known historically as Palazzo Contarini Minelli dal Bovolo, the building is a 14th-century residence later altered in the late 15th century with the addition of its external spiral staircase. It combines a Gothic structure with later Renaissance elements introduced through this modification. The staircase serves both practical access between levels and a decorative architectural feature within the building’s compact urban setting.
