Hildasholm, Leksand After an image by Lena Svensson, 2013 |
||||||||||
| Hildasholm was constructed in 1910 as a summer house for doctor and author Axel Munthe and his spouse, Hilda Pennington-Mellor, featuring an architectural design by Torben Grut that blends Swedish traditions with Italian influences. The estate remains celebrated for its expansive, themed gardens, which were developed by Hilda herself within the scenic landscape of Lake Siljan. |
