Saltwater crocodile

A saltwater crocodile (Crocodylus porosus), the largest living reptile species, resting on a muddy riverbank partially covered in duckweed. Native to northern Australia and parts of Southeast Asia, C. porosus is known for its territorial aggression and powerful ambush predation tactics. Thid specimen depicted exhibits the robust build and armoured scalation characteristic of mature males in this species.
