Kancharla Gopanna (1620–88) Other names: Bhadrachala Ramadasu, Bhakta Raamadaas Positions Held Tahsildar (tax officer) of Palvancha Paragana Main Events A composer and poet. He was the son of Linganna Mantri and Kadamba, the sister of Madanna. He constructed the Rama temple in Bhadrachalam using funds accessed from the tax revenue, and for this, he was sentenced to twelve years in prison.
