Biographical

Born between c. 1366 and c. 1367, Miranshah was the eldest surviving son of Timur, and he held the government of 'Iraq, Azerbaijan, Dayarbikr and Syria during the lifetime of his father. After his father's death, he reigned for three years in those countries, when he was slain in a battle against Qara Yusaf the Turkman. After a fall from a horse in 1386, Miranshah had become mentally deranged.
