Béatrice de Savoie
Dame de Faucigny
(1237-1310)

Main Events

The heiress of her father, in 1294, she gave her lands located between Seyssel and Freiburg to her Count Amédée V of Savoy, and transferred Faucigny to her son-in-law, Hugues de La Tour, maintaining the usufruct for herself in 1296. She claimed Savoy for her grandson, and with her allies, caused much conflict for the family.[1]
