The Grand Cross of the Order of the Star of Africa of Liberia
Awarded to Dutch Prime Minister Willem Drees in 1956

The Order of the Star of Africa was instituted in 1920 through an act of the Liberian Legislature and is bestowed on individuals
for distinguished service to Liberia or Africa in the fields of arts, science, or public service. The president of Liberia is the Grand Master of the order, and the secretary of state is the Chancellor. The five ranks of the order are: Grand Cross or Grand Band, Commander, Officer, and Knight.
