The Palace of Happiness is a striking and unique civil registry
building in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, constructed in 2011 to commemorate
the 20th anniversary of the nation's independence. This architectural
marvel features a three-tiered design, with each side resembling an
eight-pointed star, topped by a cube supporting a large, 32-metre
diameter ball representing Earth with a map of Turkmenistan. The
palace's symbolism is rich, with the eight-pointed stars representing
the world's eight directions, the cube symbolising marital stability,
and the Earth map emphasising family and unity. Primarily, the venue
serves as a grand wedding venue, housing numerous wedding halls, banquet
rooms, and shops offering a full range of wedding services. Beyond its
practical function, it also acts as a cultural centre, promoting Turkmen
		wedding and family traditions.
