The Portraits of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres

Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, French Neoclassical painter, born at Montauban, 1780, died in Paris, 1867. He a pupil of David. He worked for some twenty years in Rome and Florence, choosing Raphael as his model. He was considered the prime model for the representation of correct design and ideal composition.
